Tumbling Intensives
Focused coaching. Quality repetition.
CheerCore Tumbling Intensives are small, focused classes designed to help athletes build strong, confident and consistent tumbling skills. With a maximum ratio of four athletes to one coach, athletes receive individual feedback while working through the progressions appropriate to their current tier.
Each 90-minute class combines body preparation, strength training, foundational shapes, movement patterns, drills and quality repetition. Intensives are offered year-round and are open to CheerCore athletes at every stage of their tumbling journey.
More time for the skill they’re chasing
Team practices have to cover stunts, jumps, choreography, formations and routine preparation. Tumbling Intensives create dedicated time for athletes to focus on how their bodies move, strengthen the foundations behind each skill and make corrections through purposeful repetition.
The small class size gives coaches more opportunities to see what each athlete needs. Whether they’re building a skill for the first time or working to perform it more consistently, athletes receive focused coaching without being rushed through the process.
What happens during an intensive?
Team practice builds the routine. Intensives build the progression.
We strongly recommend that Novice, Prep and Elite athletes supplement their team training with a Tumbling Intensive at the appropriate tier.
Intensives give athletes 90 minutes of dedicated tumbling instruction in a class of no more than four athletes per coach. That focused time helps athletes strengthen their foundations, work through progressions and build skills with greater confidence and consistency.
For athletes who are working towards the tumbling expectations of their team, intensives provide the structure and repetition needed to keep making progress throughout the season.
A clear path from foundations to advanced skills
CheerCore’s six-tier system gives athletes a clear progression to follow. Each tier develops the strength, shapes, movement patterns and skills required for the one that follows.
Athletes must master the skills in their current tier before progressing to the next. This ensures they are not simply attempting harder skills — they are arriving with the foundations needed to learn them safely and perform them with confidence and consistency.
